Beginner Clinics & Group Sessions

Tomaz Pickleball Club regularly hosts beginner clinics and group learning sessions where new players can learn the basics: scoring, serving, the kitchen (no-volley zone), and fundamental shot techniques. These sessions are perfect for those who want structured learning in a social setting.

The Basic Rules of Pickleball

• Games are played to 11 points (win by 2), using rally scoring
• The serve must be underhand and land in the diagonal service box
• The "kitchen" (non-volley zone) is the 7-foot area near the net — no volleying allowed here
• The double-bounce rule: the ball must bounce once on each side before volleys are permitted
• Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles
